Select application when opening / editing a file

I’ve just installed CrossClave on my Ubuntu 20.04 system, and started testing it a bit to see how things work. One thing that I noticed immediately is that I’m not asked to select an application when opening a file; it will just pick my default, which is usually a document viewer, at least for images and PDF files.

I think it’d be really useful to indicate if you’re opening a file for viewing or editing, and also be able to select an application of your own choice for each of those options, that CrossClave will remember (but that I can later change as needed). This would make editing a much smoother experience, especially for PDF files etc, that often have separate view-only apps.
